How to setup your own name servers in WHM/cpanel

You got a new server with cPanel/WHM installed on it. You want to use your own Domain Name Servers from this server. As these settings are not setup by default you will need to do some work to setup your name servers. Just follow these easy to use steps to setup your own name servers:
A) Logon to WHM on your new server. In WHM – look for the option to to add name servers. Now go ahead and input something similar like this:
NS1.yourdomain.com and

Buy a licence
Log into your server via SSH and do the following commands:
mkdir /home/cpins
cd /home/cpins
wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
sh latest
Done.
Note: this will take awhile to run depending on your server specs.

I hope you all had a good bbq and watched some great fire works. Myself, I watched short fireworks, while sitting on a rock and had jerked salmon afterward. It was fantastic!
In other news - The site is almost completely redone for FFXIV. Open recruitment should start in a week or so.
Summer fun
The site is back online, after shall we say some spring cleaning! Welcome back to the {KC) website. A lot of things have happened since we last talked. not the least of which is Starcraft 2 coming out July 27th 2010! yay! {KC) will be lurking around battle net for the launch. I was not all that impressed with the beta play but, the game itself was quite fun, I am excited for the UMS and coop vs ai modes more than anything else. PvP in any form never really has been my style.

So. Midterm on Thursday! Not too excited for it but meh. On a bunch of dif viruses but, at least entomology is over so there is plenty of time for making flashcards for it.
After the exam is over I will be working on finishing the new clan scripts in time for the beta launch of April 1st.
Oh ya. {KC) is also 11 years old! Happybirthday to {KC)! yay.
